What's an Osteria and what is Valpolicella?

An Osteria is traditional wine bar, not the fancy that started lately. In this places our granpas spend days with their friends, playing cards and drinking local wines.

Valpolicella is a renowned red wine region located in the Veneto region of Italy, near the city of Verona. This region is famous for producing some of the world's most beloved wines, including the full-bodied Amarone and the lighter-bodied Valpolicella Classico.

Valpolicella wines are made from a blend of grape varieties, including Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara. The grapes are grown on the hillsides surrounding the town of Verona, where they benefit from the warm Mediterranean climate and the rich, mineral-rich soil.

The grapes are carefully harvested and fermented, producing a wine with a distinctive taste and aroma. Valpolicella wines are characterized by their fruity, spicy flavor, with hints of cherry, plum, and almond. They are typically medium-bodied and have a moderate alcohol content, making them a versatile choice for pairing with a wide range of foods.

This is a vertical wine tasting on Valpolicella wines including Valpolicella Rosso IGT, Classico, Superiore and Ripasso . At the moment we serve:
